This is a required component of the MinGW Compiler Suite. This package provides the GNU assembler, linker, archive librarian, and other utilities for manipulating object format files. This package is enhanced by the libiconv and gettext DLL if they are installed. It does not require them to operate. As of release 2.24-1, this "doc" component package has been superseded by the "info" and "man" component packages; this component package now delivers no content, will not be updated for subsequent releases, and may be safely removed.
