#15 closed enhancement (fixed)

Allow user to copy installed mods to clipboard as human-readable string

Description

When reporting what mods one has installed on the forum, one has to look at the AEI window and scroll up and down while typing into the forum for several minutes. The installed_mods file gives only the package numbers, which isn't too useful for copy-pasting into the forum. An option under the Mods menu like "Copy Installed Mod Names" would be nice. It would copy to the clipboard the number and name of each mod in a multi-line format that would be readable when pasted into the forum.

Suggested format:
"
10000 Mod One
11000 Mod Two
12000 Mod Three and a Half
"

The code tag on the forum is useful when posting long lists.

Replying to Iritscen:
there's a text file called Installation (not the installed_mods) that will list all the mods going to be installed and they can simply copy paste the info from there .. that's what I've done several times on the forum by now.
Though it would also be a useful feature, I just wanted to say that there's an alternative way meanwhile.
